TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — B&W Foods, the locally owned and operated company behind Piggly Wiggly West Alabama, announced Tuesday that Tuscaloosa Drug Company will relocate its Five Points pharmacy inside the new Piggly Wiggly store opening this fall.
The pharmacy will move just across the street from its current location, where Tuscaloosa Drug Company has served the community for more than a decade. The move will keep the pharmacy close to its longtime patients while offering the added convenience of pharmacy and grocery services under one roof.

Tuscaloosa Drug Company serves patients throughout Tuscaloosa and Northport with an emphasis on personalized care and service. As the in-store pharmacy, its team will continue serving current patients while welcoming new patients at the Piggly Wiggly location.

B&W Foods announced the new Piggly Wiggly Five Points location earlier this year. The store will be the company’s sixth location in Tuscaloosa County and eighth overall and represents the company’s continued investment in the communities it serves.
In addition to Tuscaloosa Drug Company, the new store will feature Piggly Wiggly West Alabama’s first full-service bakery, deli and floral departments in Tuscaloosa, along with a specialty meat case featuring custom and specialty cuts.
The new Piggly Wiggly is expected to open in fall 2026. An official opening date and additional information about Tuscaloosa Drug Company’s move will be announced as the opening approaches.
